Roy “Dean” Bizaillion
Roy “Dean” Bizaillion, age 73, of 216 Locust, Quincy, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 9:50 AM in Blessing Hospital. He was born October 17, 1934 in Hardin, Illinois. Dean was the son of Roy R. and Ida J. (Brinkman) Bizaillion. He married Mary Anna Domzalski on November 25, 1954 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.
Mr. Bizaillion was a 1953 graduate of Hardin High School and attended Gem City Business College. He was a manager with County Market at most of their stores in the area. He took time to personally care about the many employees who worked with him and had many friends among them.
Dean and Mary were married 54 years. They met at Gem City Business College. She was touched by his “great laugh”. He was her best friend and she will dearly miss talking with him and sharing the world together. She dearly loved taking care of him until his last moments. Dean was extremely dedicated to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was loved greatly by them all. They were truly blessed to have him in their lives. He was the rock and foundation of the family. They will always hold him close as a wonderful role model. “He was a great father and I want to try to be like him as a father.” He was always there to listen and help.
Dean enjoyed fishing and playing pool with his family. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching baseball as an avid Cub fan. Dean was a member of the Rocky Point Democratic Club.
Jim Hammer was a dear friend who helped take care of Dean. Dean was a member of the former St. Boniface Catholic Church and had previously been a long-time member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Dean & Mary presently attended St. Francis Catholic Church. We ask Jesus to always keep Dean close to his heart.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by one sister, Jeanette Angel and her husband Larry of Hardin; SEVEN CHILDREN: , Pamela Bizaillion Hammer of Quincy, Gregory Bizaillion and his wife Pamela of Houston, TX, Richard Bizailiion and his wife Theresa of Hannibal, MO, Sandra (Bizaillion) Nkansah and her husband Ben of Germantown, MD, Sherry (Bizaillion) Hills and her significant other Kevin Carder both of Quincy, Patricia (Bizaillion) Carter and Jack Bizaillion and his wife Melanie all of Quincy.
Twenty-Nine grandchildren, Anthony Hammer, Michael Hammer, David Bizaillion, Nadina (Bizaillion) Romano, Jonathan & Michael Bizaillion, Amanda (Bizaillion) Allen, Christina Hester, Scott Bizaillion, Monica Wallace, Benny & Ryan Nkansah, Misty, Natoshia, & Levi Hills, Kevin, Jacqueline & Jacob Carder, Ashley, Thomas, Sarah, Anna, & Victoria Carter, Elizabeth Mikotlwixa, Sharon, Lydia, Juliana, Megan, & Charity Bizaillion, and eighteen great-grandchildren, Korbin Hammer, Malaya Bizaillion, Alyssa, Mark Jr., Annette, & Kaitlyn Romano, Chloe, David, Shauna, & Saun Bizaillion, Lisa & Brandy Harwood, Kayla Hester, Brennan Cook, Quinten & Tayjah Hills, Nevaeh Bell, and Jared Warren, Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives including Cindy Heimer, Tammy Hill, & Kim Mize.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Earl Bizaillion, a daughter, Sharon Bizaillion a son James Bizaillion, and a grandson, Richard Bizaillion.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a rosary service at 4:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
