Rosemary “Rosie” Giesing

Rosemary M. “Rosie” Giesing, age 74, of 1720 Hugenberg Lane Fowler, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 9:40 p.m. in North Adams Home. She was born on February 4, 1943 in Quincy, the daughter of Albert and Rosella (Meyer) Mock. Rosie married Donald L. Giesing on May 4, 1963 in St. Francis Catholic Church.

Rosie graduated from Notre Dame High School. She was a Supervisor and cabinet maker for Huck Fixture in Quincy retiring after 32 years. Rosie loved reading, doing puzzles, playing cards and golf. She especially loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Rosie is also survived by:
five children: Sherry (Loren) Klauser of Ursa; Cindy Kessler of Payson; Susan Moran of Quincy; Brian (Diane) Giesing of Quincy; and Michele (Rick) Binger of Mendon; three siblings: Don Mock of Fowler; Bernadine Ruebbelke of Quincy; Sister Roseann Mock of Ellington, MO; her mother-in-law, Rita Giesing of Quincy; grandchildren: Ashley (Jarred) Hanlin, Adam Klauser, Cole Klauser, Cory (Katie) Kessler, Cody (Meredith) Kessler, Courtney Moran, Chase Moran, Riley Giesing, Payton Giesing, Brandon (Shelby) Giesing, Becky Binger and Craig Binger; great-grandchildren: Lilly Hanlin, Beau Hanlin, Mia Kessler, Noah Kessler, Owen Kessler, David Holt, Brantley Giesing, Cooper Giesing and another one is on the way. Many in-laws, nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her father-in-law, Albert Giesing.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Jeff Stone. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Medical Group Dialysis Center.
