Rosemary Pauline Beers

Rosemary Pauline Beers, age 73, of 4135 N. 60th Street, Quincy, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 4:05 p.m. in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on November 21, 1936 in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of Alfred & Opal (Wiedeman) Siebers. She married Ernest W. Beers on May 29, 1955. She was a loving wife for 42 years until his passing in 1997.

Rosemary attended Catholic schools in Quincy. She attended the Church of St. Peter.

She was a loving mother to five children, raising them while her husband served overseas. After her husband retired in 1971 from the Marine Corp, the family moved to Quincy where Rosemary worked at the Good Samaritan Home. She was also a housewife and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Rosemary especially enjoyed the holidays and always made it special, especially for her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Survivors include:
CHILDREN: Michael Siebers of China and his wife Gisela of Stuttgart, Germany, Mary Thomas of Quincy, Kent Beers and his wife Linda; Patricia Holcumbrink and her husband Gary & Barbara Beers all of Quincy;
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Daniel Siebers and his wife Monie ,Robin Siebers all of Stuttgart, Germany, Tina Beers, Shawn Thomas, Neil Cookson, & Diane Beers all of Quincy;
THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Alyssa Morris, Connor Beers all of Quincy, & Dana Siebers of Stuttgart, Germany. Nieces & nephews also survive.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, & a brother, Albert Siebers.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 12:45 p.m. at Hebron Cemetery near Golden, Illinois by Rev. Keith Ehresman. A private family visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Quincy Humane Society or to the family.
