Rosemary Neisen

Rosemary Neisen, age 84, of Quincy, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 11:05 PM in the Sunset Home. She was born on September 20, 1928 in Quincy the daughter of Michael & Leona (Willer) Metzger. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. Rosemary married Earl F. Neisen on February 12, 1949 in St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2001. Mrs. Neisen worked at Moorman’s, Pepsi-Cola and K-Mart. She also, along with her husband farmed in the Burton area for many years.

Rosemary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Women’s Altar Society at the Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and took great pride in her cooking.

She is survived by:
NINE CHILDREN: Kathy Hunt of Cutoff, LA; Dennis Neisen and his wife Lana of Quincy; Donna Bain and her husband Ernie of Quincy; Mark Neisen and his wife Bernice of Quincy; LuAnn Hammersland and her husband Eric of Sedalia, MO; Nancy Speckhart and her husband Kenny of Liberty, IL; Stan Neisen and his wife Cindy of Quincy; Kevin Neisen and his wife Kay of Bloomington, IL; Judy Setayesh and her husband Ali of Topeka Kansas.
GRANDCHILDREN: Tracy Plaisance and her husband Toby; Glenn “Doug” Wisehart, Scott Wisehart and his wife Kathy and Amy Wisehart; Ryan Neisen and his wife Sheri; Leanne Moreno and her husband Miguel; Kyle Neisen and his wife Melanie; Jason Bain and his wife Jenny and Carrie Cox and her husband Rob; Wes Neisen and his wife Trista; Brad Neisen, Alex Neisen and his fiancee Melissa Graff;
Lynn Rakers and her husband Taylor; Sara Cardwell and her husband David; Bret Hammersland and his friend Amber; Nathan Speckhart and his wife Amber; Trent Speckhart and Kelly Speckhart; Dustin Parsons; Kelsey Neisen and her fiance Jimmy Fry; and Kara Neisen; and Jordan Setayesh.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Terah, Tyke, Tia and Tylen Plaisance; Nick, Andrew and Tucker Wisehart; Cameron, Clayton, Christian, Brody and Willow Neisen; Isabela, Santiago and Carlo Moreno; Andrew Bain; Wyatt, Elizabeth “Libby” and Lane Neisen, and Jackson Rakers; Autumn Speckhart and Carter Speckhart;
ONE Brother: Raymond Metzger along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Rosemary was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons-in-law: James Wisehart and Terry Hunt; two brothers: Martin Metzger and John Metzger and two sisters: Betty Jansen and Lucille Lowe.

The family would like to especially thank the staff of the Sunset Home for the care that Rosemary received.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 9:15 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery Fund or to the Sunset Home.
