Rosella C. Neastea, age 75, of 614 South 19th, died on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on December 29, 1936 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Alois & Gertrude (Schaich) Hoebing. She married Cecil Neastea on May 29, 1954 in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2005. Mrs. Neastea worked for Motorola for several years. After her retirement there she then worked for Bergners for many years. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter. Rosie loved her many dogs over the years and especially her present canine companion, “Sadie Sue”. Rosie lived life to the fullest enjoying her many friends and loving family.

HER MOTHER-IN-LAW: Edith Neastea
A special sister-in-law: Judy Padgett and her husband Dennis along with many other nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband Cecil, she was also preceded in death by a son: Michael Neastea, a daughter Debbie Neastea, a brother Raymond Hoebing and a sister: Delores Hoebing.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter by Msgr. Leo Enlow. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or to the Church of St. Peter.
