Rose Marie “Rody” Marshall Christ age 84, of Quincy died in her home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:14 a.m.

She was born February 1, 1938 in Quincy, a daughter of Robert E. and Marie Iona (Knuffman) Marshall.

She married the love of her life, William A. Christ on March 16, 1957 in Quincy, he preceded her in death on October 23, 1982.

Rose was a hard worker, she had been employed at Quincy Paper Box, Motorola and while living in New Mexico, she drove a Yuke Dump Truckin the uranium mines. Prior to retiring, she worked at ISS, a cleaning and support service.

Rose was true to her faith, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
She volunteered at the Blessing Hospital Tea Room and the Illinois Veteran’s Home.
She loved playing Bingo, dancing and gambling.

Rose was outgoing and genuinely liked everyone. She was a wonderful Mom, and will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include her four children:
Robert W. Christ (Josie Day); John R. (Vicki) Christ, Shearie M.(Ken) Harmon; and Crystal L. Brown.

12 Grandchildren: Stephanie, Dusty, Chase, Tiffany, Misty, Michael, Brian, Juston, Heather, Brandon, Zacary and Angela.

Many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Brothers and sisters: Jim, Jack, Bonnie, Sandy, and Joan.

The Christ family extends a special thank you to Angela and Aunt Jackie for all their help and care of Rose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 grandsons, Roger, Adam, and Henry,
a daughter-in-law, Vivian; brothers and sisters, Bob, Leo, Sharon, Mike, and Roger and Lily Marie in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
with Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Parish or to the Christ Family.
