Ronnie Gire, age 61, of Lewistown, IL, formerly of Quincy, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in his home. He was born on July 24, 1954 in Quincy the son of Dorsey and Rose (Leonard) Gire.

Ronnie worked at various places in the Quincy area in maintenance and cleaning, including Quincy Notre Dame and K-Mart. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Ronnie was a big fan of the Blue Devils and enjoyed going to the Thanksgiving Day Tournament. He also was an avid fan of the Cardinals. Ronnie dearly loved his dog, “Rascal”.

He is survived by:
FIVE SISTERS: Joyce Beaver and her husband Don of Pekin, IL; Barbara Morley and her husband Raymond of Quincy; Sharon Gire of Quincy; Patty Morgan of Licking, MO; and Brenda Sue Connors and her husband Marc of Quincy.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roger Gire.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services.
