Ronald Vogelpohl, age 48, of 3009 State, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 12:35 AM in Blessing Hospital. He was born on March 9, 1963 in Quincy, the son of Wilfred & Kathleen (Wilson) Vogelpohl.

Mr. Vogelpohl had worked at the Abbey. He was of the Catholic Faith. Ron enjoyed movies, music, bike riding and racing.

He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Kathleen Vogelpohl of Quincy.
FIVE BROTHERS: Tom Vogelpohl of Georgia, Mark Vogelpohl and his wife Rita of Pittsfield, Ken Vogelpohl, Brian Vogelpohl and Bill Vogelpohl all of Quincy.
ONE SISTER: Kathy Sumpter and her husband Harry, Jr. of Quincy.
THREE NEPHEWS: Kenny Vogelpohl and his wife Cynthia of Canada, Derek Vogelpohl of Chicago, and Cory Sumpter of Quincy
ONE NIECE: Sara Vogelpohl of Pittsfield.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, two brothers: Jeffrey Vogelpohl and Jim Vogelpohl and a sister: Evelyn Vogelpohl.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 1:30 PM in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church.
