Ronald “Ron” K. Lord, age 59, of Quincy, IL, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born on February 6, 1965 in Quincy, IL, a son to Darwin and Phyllis (Thomas) Brewer. He married Susan (Goodman) Lord in August of 1999. She survives.

Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman whose favorite place was his deer blind. He will be remembered for his “constant one-liners”, dance skills, and for always trying to make people laugh. Above all, Ron cherished the time spent with his family who will miss him very much.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children: Candice (Jamie) Tabone; Kayla (Christopher) Andrews; Daniel (Katey) Audet; and Michelle (Joseʹ) Audet. Grandchildren: Darling and Rayne Tabone; Austin and Logan Andrews; Kinsley Audet; and Floyd Garcia. Siblings: Richard Lord; Della Robertson; Rodney (Koleen) Lord; Regie Berhorst; Tom Brewer; Betty Brewer; Dee Dee Burket; Sherry Clem and Pam Hobbs. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother Bertha Stone, and aunts Lola and Grace.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Ambiance. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
