Ronald L. Belker

Ronald L. Belker age 73, formerly of Quincy died on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:40 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. Ronald was born August 29, 1941 in Quincy, a son of Gary and Bertha (Schmelzle) Belker.

Ron had worked for Blick’s Construction.

He served in the in the U.S. Navy.

Ron was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He was an avid motorcyclist, and Cardinal Baseball fan. In Ron’s younger years, he played baseball. Ron was a big help on the family farm, and a hard worker.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Reinebach and his twin, Donna Bower and her husband John all of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Georgian Belker of Quincy; nieces and nephews, Phyllis Talbott and husband Don of Vandalia, MO; Sandra Sanders and husband Don of Columbia, MO; Larry Binkley and his wife Sue of Tracy, CA; Connie Swearengen and her husband Joe of Carthage, MO; Michael Bower of Oklahoma, William Bower of Durant, OK; Jeffrey Bower and wife Janah of Alamo, TX and many great nieces and great nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Clarence “Bud” Belker; a sister, Mildred Binkley and a nephew LeRoy Peter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the K of C. Mass for Shut-In’s or to St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
