Ronald E. “Ron” Siepel
Ronald E. “Ron” Siepel age 49, of 727 North 64th Street died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 1:02 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. Ron was born July 16, 1962 in Plymouth, IL a son of George and Phyllis (John) Siepel. He married Wendy G. Williams on May 10, 1986 and she survives.
Ron was a welder at Knapheide Manufacturing for almost 25 years.
He was an active member of Columbus Road Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.
He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1980 and was a graduate of John Wood Community College. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, a hunter and a fisherman. He led the Archery Club through his church and was a vital part of the Pit Crew on his car racing team.
In addition to his wife Wendy, survivors include his parents, George and Phyllis Siepel of Plymouth; his children, Christopher N. (Kristel) Williams; Shelby L. (Brent Kormen)Siepel
and William E. “Wes” Siepel all of Quincy. Grandchildren: Chloe L. and Kenadie L. Williams; Jade L. and Hunter J. Kormen all of Quincy.
Brothers and sisters, Randall C. (Stephanie) Siepel of Atlanta, GA; Robin V. (George Kunz) Siepel of Bakersfield, CA; Christopher D. (Louie Vega) Siepel of Los Angeles, CA and Cynthia M. (Hunter) Beckham of St. Louis, MO.
His mother-in-law, Connie Williams and a brother-in-law, Allen Williams both of Quincy,
nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Ron was preceded in death by his father-in-law Jim Williams and a brother-in-law, Tim Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Columbus Road Baptist Church by Pastor Bob Cowman. Intement will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Goodbye Uncle, I wish I had gotten to know you better
My father and I shot archery with Ron and his sons since the first time he started the league there at Baptist Road Church. My father and I will greatly miss Ron and will keep him and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. He was a great Person, I only knew him from the racetrack at Donaldson IA They pitted a long side my boy Joe Bliven. He will be missed God be with the family.
