Ronald Carl Riley age 71, of Quincy died on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:08 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. Ron was born in Quincy on February 4, 1948, a son of John and Elsie (Mullens) Riley. He first married Peg, who is the mother of his two sons, and later married Janet, who is the mother of his daughter.

Ron worked for many years as a painter and sandblaster journeyman based in Decatur, IL prior to his retirement. He had earned associate degrees in art and computer technology. Ron was a talented artist and painter, he also liked collecting antiques.

Survivors include his children:
Carl E. Riley of Quincy; Ronald C. Riley, Jr. of Whitehall, IL; and Krista Riley of Decatur, IL. His brothers and sisters, Rosetta Nunn of Decatur, IL; Maxine “Dorothy” Elridge of Quincy; Margaret “Tiny” Mason and her husband Martin of Liberty; Gary Riley and his wife Barbara of Quincy; his twin brother Donald Riley and his wife Maria of Puerto Rico and Linda Brooks of Quincy. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and one sister.

Cremation rites are planned. Private family services will be held at a later date.
