Roger P. Kistner
Roger P. Kistner, age 51, of Sycamore Healthcare Center, formerly of Springfield, IL and Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in the Center. He was born on September 3, 1957 in Quincy the son of Robert M. & Marie (Zopf) Kistner. Roger was a 1975 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Roger loved to be with his family. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing and bowling and was an avid Cub Fan. Roger had a second family with the Community Support Network of Springfield, IL.

SIX SIBLINGS: Donald R. Kistner of Quincy; Joanne Lierle of Thousand Oaks, CA: Sharon Geise and her husband Conrad of Quincy; Ruth Ann Kinman and her husband Glen of La Prairie, IL; Patricia Scott and her husband Wayne of Farmersville, TX; and Terry Kistner and his wife Bonnie of Quincy
ONE SISTER-IN-LAW: Lamona Kistner of Quincy
An Uncle: Harold Zopf and his wife Dorothy
An Aunt: Virginia Metallo
Along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Ronald Kistner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Parish prayer service at 5:00. Memorials may be made to Transitions of Western Illinois.
Everyone at Community Support Network is so sorry for your loss. Roger was a ray of sunshine and will continue to be missed by all of us here.
We have missed Roger a great deal. We know that he is much happier now as he rests in peace with Our Lord. May God hold him gently in his heart.
