Roger J. Richmiller

Roger J. Richmiller, age 87, of 714 Pine Ridge Drive, died on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 12, 1927 in Quincy the son of Charles & Ann (Holtschlag) Richmiller. He married Elizabeth “Bettie” D. Peters on December 28, 1946 in Quincy’s St. Mary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2006.

Mr. Richmiller was a self-employed contractor and built numerous homes in the Quincy area. Along with his brother Melvin, Roger built and was an original owner of the Tangerine Bowl. Mr. Richmiller served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Roger was an avid card player and a Cardinal Fan.

He is survived by: THREE SONS: Terry Richmiller and his wife Jill, Rick Richmiller and his wife Donna, and Randy Richmiller and his wife Mary all of Quincy.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Nicole Cookson and her husband Bryan, Adam Richmiller, Kristi Cookson and her husband Jerry; Kerri Navarro and her husband Ray; Jennifer Krumtinger and her husband Matt; Kevin Richmiller and his wife Ruth and Julie Sass and her husband Adam: 22 great-grandchildren: Seven brothers and sisters, Harold (Linda) Richmiller, Sylvia (Wilmer) Holzgrafe, Carlene Beers, Charles Richmiller, Jr., Ruth (Robert) Welchert, Virlee Thyson and Shirley Williams.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, Roger was also preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters, Lydia Tenk, Rose Anne Richmiller, Clark, Robert, Milton in infancy, Leroy, Harold, John (Jack) and Melvin, a great-grandson Colin Shake.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
