Roger A. “Whitey” Langdon

Roger A. “Whitey” Langdon, age 72, of 1707 Cross St., died on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1940 in Louisville, KY, the son of Walter & Mary Virginia (Mitchell) Langdon. He served in the Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Langdon was an auto mechanic working at S&N Autobody for many years until his retirement. After retirement, Roger never gave up his passion for cars and was always willing to help his friends.

He is survived by:
ONE DAUGHTER: Michelle Carter and her husband Shane of Texas
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Vincent, Austin and Mary Carter
ONE BROTHER: Bill Langdon and his wife Judy
HIS HONORARY CHILDREN: Lori Stark and her husband Greg of Quincy; DeAnn Johnson and her husband Anthony; Brian Blackburn, Kevin Blackburn and his wife Regina all of Ft. Worth, TX.
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Vana Langdon & his second wife Judy Blackburn, a brother: Wilson Langdon, a sister: Virginia Dyle, and a step-daughter: Tammy Blackburn.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Firehouse on 1700 N. 12th. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I was so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. He was pretty much a fixture at my home when we were growing up. He was so very special to me. I have such fond memories of him. Love you, Roger!
