Rodell L. Graham

Rodell L. Graham, age 90, of Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Liberty, died on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:30 AM in the Home. He was born on February 18, 1919 in Beverly Township, Adams County, IL the son of John E. & T. Fern (Likes) Graham. Mr. Graham worked for the Illinois State Park System at Siloam Springs and then was a Union Construction Worker in the Quincy area for many years. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Rodell attended the Church of God in Clayton, IL. He was a 50+ year member of the American Legion of Liberty. Rodell was also an avid fisherman and loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by:
THREE SIBLINGS: Wilma Meador of Mt. Sterling, Francis Graham of Tribune KS; and Homer Graham and his wife Betty of Liberty, IL
SISTER-IN-LAW: Erma Graham of Golden, IL
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Rodell was preceded in death by his long-time companion and friend Betty Brown, his parents, 2 brothers: John D. Graham and Walter Burle Graham, a brother-in-law: Clyde meador; and two sisters-in-law: Violet Graham and Imogene Graham.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Kingston Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery by the Liberty American Legion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Liberty American Legion or to Kingston Cemetery.

    I am so sorry to all the family for the loss of such a wonderful person. We wish we could be there for the funeral services but unfortunately cannot come. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
