Robert R. Dietrich, age 84, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Burton, died on Monday, April 2, 2012 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1927 in Adams County, IL the son of Rome & Cora (Kamphaus) Dietrich. He married Cora H. Fordall on March 11, 1963 in Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1996.

Mr. Dietrich worked for Electric Wheel/ Bridgestone Firestone for many years until his retirement. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Robert was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church. He greatly enjoyed gardening and fishing.

ONE SON: William Dietrich of Burton
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Nicholas, Mathew, and Jeffrey Dietrich; Roman Robert Dietrich and his wife Danika, and Cody Dietrich.
ONE GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Cora Dietrich.

In addition to his wife, Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a son Dale Dietrich. 3 BROTHERS: Edgar, Lawrence and Raymond Dietrich & 2 SISTERS: Edna Blum and Lauretta Ehrhardt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty. Interment in St. Brigid Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
