Dear family and friends of Bob Schepers,
I have been praying for Bob these days. May he now enjoy the peace and joys of God’s presence to the fullest. I am sure he has already joined the heavenly choir and may be directing it.
I have many fond memories of Bob/Bobby since I grew up with some of his cousins who are my cousins- Marydine Tushaus Frankenhoff, Marcia
and Ron Tushaus. He invited me to help with TEC when I was stationed at St. John’s Hospital. So, I was involved with the Quincy TEC and Cursillo when Bob was active with it. He gave 100% and more sharing God’s love with so many teenagers and adults. May he enjoy his new life with God and with his family and friends in heaven. Sister JoAn Schullian, OSF
Bob and I grew up together, classmates from kindergarten through Notre Dame High in Quincy and lifelong friends since. Fun times I particularly remember were the pinocle games behind Underbrinks Bakery where the rule was you could cheat if you could get away with it.
He had a great sense of humor and a ready laugh; always fun to be with. He was indeed a doer in the parish of St. Francis where I’m sure he will be missed. May he rest in the embrace of God!
To Bob’s Family and friends, we express our great sadness to learn of Bob’s passing. From what little we know of his recent suffering, we are certain that he is in a much happier place. It’s an event we will all face and we hope we will reunite with Bob when it is our time. Love to all, Jack & Mary
Dear Marjorie and Family,
Bo and I knew Bob for years. Bo through grade and ND high school and St. Francis. I knew Bob through my aunt, Catherine Winkeljohn Middendorf, cousin, Anita Glosemeyer Venvertloh and Notre Dame HS.
He was a very talented person and always kind and helpful. We have fond memories of Bob through the years.
We send you our deepest sympathy on his passing.
Bo and Judy Broemmel
I have very fond memories of Bob and everything that he did to bring TEC to Mid Missouri. He directed the first TEC I was on in 1977. He was a wonderful role model of discipleship. May God bless your family at this time.
Bob was one of my favorite people from my early T.E.C. years in Quincy… such a dear Gentle Spirit! Great mentor on how to listen to teens and more fully understand our Vatican II Church during my years of “indoctrination”! Tough Love & Wisdom were his middle names. And what a Hugger! I will always associate “The Joy of the Lord” with Bob’s presence. Heaven is filled with a bit more laughter now! Love & Prayers to all his Family. Pat (Rusty) TEC 48 and beyond!
Please accept our sincere and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Bob.
Bob ie: Kojak – I know you’re in a much better place enjoying yourself but the rest of us here miss you like crazy..your humor, your twinkling eyes and your beautiful voice. Thank you God for the honor of knowing this wonderful man on Earth. Many prayers to your family…with much love. Liz
Marjorie:
It has been a long time since I saw and visited with you. I belliever it was about 30 yrs ago on one of my visits to Quincy seeing you at the house on Vine, College Ave.
Please accept my prayers and the loss of Bob. I will offer Mass this week for him and hope you and the family make the needed adjustments in time.
He and I are birth brothers as I was 6 days old when your mom gave birth to Bob. No doubt Bob and I shared nursery at St.Mary’s Hospital if not cribs, basinette or something special retricted to new borns.
Mom and Dad had moved from 1625 College Ave a year before I was born in 1935. That made me a resident of 1521 Broadway. Nonetheless Bob & I shared play school, grade school, high school and one year at Q.C. before I left Quincy to find my life in the Jesuits. I get rarely to Quincy but when I did over the years one important stop was to visit and pray with my friend, Bob. I miss him, his golden voice, sense of humar, and inspiring dedication to God, his Church and the people he loved.
TEC and Cursillo are his loves. I have been part of both even though my mission life has not lended itself to these particular spiritual growth programs.
You and your family have my love and prayers from the shores of the Caribbean. I told my staff and morning Mass worshipers about Bob yesterday.
Blessings and prayers for all your family and rest assured we all start praying to singing St Bob. Sincerely, Joe Damhorst, SJ

Ken and I offer our condolences to your family on your loss. Bob was an old and good friend of ours. He will be in our thoughts and prayers.
We met Bob when we made Cursillo in 1976. We were part of the team for the first Mid America TEC for our diocese for which he was the director and he was part of our team when we directed a weekend in Moberly. Bob was very inspirational to us and played a large part in our spiritual growth at that time. He was a man of great faith, very caring and loving, willing to do anything for anyone. His life was truly a testimony to the love of God he carried in his heart and willingly shared with others. We feel privleged to have known Bob and been able to share a part of his life. We know he is happy with the Lord now, at peace and out of pain. Our sympathy goes out to all his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. He will be missed.
Love and prayers,
Dave and Sharon
