Robert “Gene” Graff

Robert “Gene” Graff age 60, of 823 South 36th St. Apt. 151 Quincy, IL formerly of Liberty, IL died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 12:04 a.m. in his home. Gene was born October 27, 1953 in Quincy a son of Floyd H. “Fritz” and Zolavon “Vonnie” (Phillips) Graff.
Gene was the owner and operator of Gene’s Custom Guns in Liberty, IL. He also was a welder, and worked at Constant Products and Knapheide Manufacturing, He was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended college in West Burlington, IA learning the trade of gunsmithing.
Gene was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the N.R.A. and he was an avid trap shooter, taking part in shooting events at the Northside Boat Club, West Quincy Gun Club and Branson, MO for many years. Gene loved being outdoors, and was a hunter, fisherman and a golfer. His grandsons Mason and Kaleb were his pride and joy.
Survivors include his mother, Vonnie Graff of Quincy;
His sons, Wesley Graff and his fiancée Delana Koch of Quincy; and Travis Graff and his wife Adrienne of Plainville, IL; and his two grandsons, Mason and Kaleb Graff.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Ronald Graham. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday morning from 10:30 until the time of services at Duker & Haugh.
