Robert E. Halle

Robert E. Halle, age 86, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of 1720 Hamann Lane, died on Friday, October 17, 2013 in the Home. He was born on April 12, 1927 in Quincy, the son of Marvin & Catherine (Boden) Halle. Mr. Halle had retired from Gardner Denver after 32 years of service. He was a Navy Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War.

He is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Linda Stange and her husband Dale of West Paducah, KY; Kenneth Halle of Quincy and Karen Warner and her husband Tony of Quincy
FIFTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Nicole Halle, Amanda Halle, Erica Halle, Julie Good and her husband James, Lucy Halle, Bianca Halle, Crystal Rogers, Jeremy Rodgers and his wife Stephanie, Eric Norsworthy, Matt Halle and his wife Sherri; Amy Halle and her fiance Brandon Campbell , Jaime Nosbisch, Robert “Robby” Warner and his fiancee Mandy Wilson Roger Forbes, and Karen Ann Forbes.

ONE BROTHER: Richard Halle and his wife Ruth of Quincy
ONE SISTER: Phyllis Lubbe of Weston, Wisconsin

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Robert L. Halle, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the All Faiths Chapel of the Illinois Veterans Home. Interment in Sunset Cemetery with military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning at the All Faiths Chapel from 9:00 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
