Robert Donald Reedy, age 65, of 3884 Slavik, Odessa, TX, formerly of Quincy, died on Friday, February 26, 2010 in Odessa. He was born on October 19, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Robert Donald Reedy, Sr. and Mildred Arlene (Beckett) Duniven and her husband Leo E. Duniven, who raised Robert. He married Betty Ann Rice on February 2, 1963 in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.

Robert was a mechanic for Doyle Manufacturing, Master Tank, and E.L. Smith’s. While in Texas, he worked at Dallas Morning News and 7-Eleven.

He was of the Baptist Faith. Robert loved horses, watching wrestling & westerns, traveling, and his grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

THREE CHILDREN: Lana Smith and her husband Gary of Keokuk, IA, Bobbie Watson and her husband Lucas of San Angelo, TX, and Robin Warren and her husband Darrell of Odessa, TX;
BROTHERS: Michael Duniven, Sr., and his wife Wanda of Lubbock, TX, Sharon Sadler of Canton, MO, Deborah Sisk and her husband Larry of Odessa, Thelma Duniven and her friend, Patrick of Canton, MO;
GRANDCHILDREN: Donnie Fifer, Latasha Roberts, Bethanie Fifer, Dustin Warren, John Warren, James Watson, Lagara Smith, Curtis Smith, & Garin Smith;
FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN;
BROTHER-IN-LAW: Bobby Lee Rice and his wife Patty of Branson, MO.
Nieces & nephews also survive.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Donna Harscher, & a sister-in-law, Shirley Platt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Odessa Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
