Robert D. “Bob” Williamson

Robert D. “Bob” Williamson, age 76, of 2137 S. 23rd St., Quincy, died on Friday, June 21, 2013 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 22, 1937 in LaBelle, MO, a son of Orin “Pee Wee” & Darlene (Carper) Williamson. He first married Beverly “Jane” Ray in 1958, she preceded him in death. He married Sharon Barnett in 1979 and she preceded him in death on July 14, 2011.

Bob served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by the City of Quincy in the Water Department until his retirement in 1996.

He took Jesus as his Savior at The Crossing 929 in 2011. He truly enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Years ago, he liked to go hunting & mushroom hunting. Bob was known for having a sweet tooth, and he just loved having a good meal.

He is survived by sons, Mark Williamson (Kim) of Avon, IN and Dana Williamson (Keva) of Quincy; a daughter Paula Forrest (Steve) of Quincy; a step-son, Charles Tracy (Susan) and a step-daughter Dottie Fifer and her friend Patrick Taylor all of Quincy; a brother, Gary (Linda) Williamson of Quincy;
8 grandchildren, Keith, Adam, Jeremy Williamson, Isaiah, Rylee & Kale, Nicole Maggart and her significant other, Chet Bowen and Dustin (Erin) Forrest; 2 great-grandchildren: Hayden and Taylor and one great-grandchild on the way; 4 step grandchildren, Anthonee Abbey & his fiance’ Paige Burton, Amaree Fifer, Jacob Tracy & Paige Tracy; 1 step-great-grandchild, Surinitee Abbey, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Bob was preceded in death by his two wives and his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh.
