Robert Clyde DeWitt
Robert Clyde DeWitt age 67, of 2607 Elm Street, Quincy, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 4:50 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born August 25, 1948 in Hannibal, MO, a son of Clyde and Lola Marie (McIntire) DeWitt. He married Kathryn Tournear on October 13, 1989 in Hannibal, Mo and she survives.
Robert was a graduate of Hannibal High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Robert’s favorite pastimes included fishing, spending time with his family and his pet cats.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three children, Michelle Bishop and her husband Shannon of Palmyra, MO; Jamie Mendoza and her husband Paul of Colorado; Robert Clyde DeWitt, Jr, and his wife Andrea of Rogers, MN;
Step-Children, Barbara Ann Risley and her husband Doug of Ewing, MO; Adrian Cooley and her husband Kent of Columbus, IL and Amanda Powers Smith and her partner Rochelle of Nebo, IL;
Two Sisters, Ellen Yount and Jackie Estes and her husband Randy;
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers-in-law.
Private Graveside Services are planned. Memorials are suggested in his name to the Quincy Humane Society.
