Robert ‘Bob’ Brueggeman

Robert Don ‘Bob’ Brueggeman, age 75, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 23, 1948 in Quincy the son of Frank & Mildred (Schreacke) Brueggeman. He married Stephanie Ballard on June 5, 1976. She survives.

Bob worked for BASF for many years until his retirement in 2007. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Bob was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping.

In addition to his wife Stephanie, Bob is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Christopher Brueggeman and his fiancé Sabrina Wollweber of Forsyth, MO and Michelle Brueggeman of Chicago, IL.
SIBLINGS: Judy Winking of Quincy and Chuck Brueggeman and his wife Nikki of Terre Haute, IN.
Brother in law: Jerry Peters of Quincy and sister in law: Carol Brueggeman of Palmyra, MO.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Melissa Brueggeman, and siblings Jerry Brueggeman and Janet Peters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Quincy Memorial Park. Military rites to be conducted by the United States Navy Honor Detail and the American Legion Post #37 Honor Detail. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
