Robert A. “Bob” Vogel, age 69, of Liberty, died on Monday, August 23, 2021 in his home. He was born on May 7, 1952 in Quincy, the son of Maurice “Buddy” and Blanche Whilemine (Klingele) Vogel. He married Carol Sue Gullion on November 29, 1975. She preceded in him death on October 24, 2020.

Bob was retired after working 40+ years at Knapheide Manufacturing.
He was a 1970 graduate of Christian Brothers High School.
Bob liked gardening and keeping his yard looking good. He was helpful to his neighbors and enjoyed taking care of others.

He is survived by his children:
THREE CHILDREN: Tawnya Sidwell (Brice) of Payson, IL; Sonya Stapleton (Michael) of Barry, IL and Melissa Liesen (Christopher) of Plainville, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Devin Moore, Derek Moore, Samantha Sidwell, Michael Sidwell, Brandon Jennings, Brandt Stapleton, Aden Stapleton, Audra Stapleton, Jonathan Vogel, Cole Liesen and Jacob Liesen.
THREE BROTHERS: Jerry Vogel (Karen), Joe Vogel (Ann) and Dave Vogel (Debbie) all of Quincy. Numerous nieces, nephew and other relatives also survive.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, a sister Cathy Vogel and a brother Ron Vogel.

Cremation rites are to be accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma, OK, 73123.
