Robert A. “Bob” Bringaze

Robert A. “Bob” Bringaze, age 83, of 1309 North 24th St., died on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:21 AM in Blessing Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1927 in St. Louis, MO the son of Martin & Adele (Vollmer) Bringaze. Bob first married June Ranney. He later married Virginia “Ginny” Liesen on October 28, 1972. She survives. Mr. Bringaze worked as a marketing representative for Churchill Truck Lines for 29 years, retiring in 1985. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1945 until 1948. Mr. Bringaze was of the Catholic faith. He was a life member of the Elks Club and the South Side Boat Club. He is a former long-time member of Cedar Crest Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf. Bob greatly enjoyed his convertible, his computer, and traveling. In earlier years he also enjoyed boating. He also loved the time spent attending his grandchildren’s sports activities.

ONE STEP-CHILD: Kathy Stuckman and her husband Roger of Quincy
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Lacey Bringaze; Cory Buckner, Jenna Buckner and her fiancee Travis Harsell; Kara Wilmoth and her husband Steve; Taylor Smith and her husband Lawrence; Grace Frankowski; Tanner Bringaze and Jaden Bringaze
THREE STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Kurt Stuckman and his wife Toni; Kristi Stadler and her husband Scott; and Ryan Stuckman.
ONE STEP-GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Tanner Stuckman.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jan Bringaze Carroll, one grandson Justin Buckner, and one sister Jeanne Frericks.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Father Don Blaeser. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery by American Legion Post #37. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 with an Elks service at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Quincy Notre Dame Foundation.
