Ricky M. Earnst

Ricky M. Earnst, age 54, of 637 Spruce, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in his home. He was born on August 17, 1964 in Quincy, the son of Albert and Patricia (Zanger) Earnst. He married Marla Steele on September 7, 2002. She survives.

Ricky was of the Catholic Faith. Ricky was a storyteller, he loved music, talking politics, collecting baseball and football cards and making models. He loved spending his time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Kathryn Thompson and her husband Walter; and Patrick Lambert and his significant other Lashanda Smith.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Grayce-Ann Thompson, Chantel Smith-Lambert; Kayzlee Smith-Lambert and Trayavon Lambert.
ONE BROTHER: Jeff Earnst and his wife Kim.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Monday at 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 1:00. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

    Ricky your the best friend that ive ever talk to and work with your going to be missed by many let god be with his family in jesus name i pray amen ive worked with ricky at konsant products and he was good on the saw line and he told u how it was there and didnt take no drama from anyone ricky was ricky and he would tell you to shut the heck up if you tried to tell him how to do his job ricky we all love you bro rest in peace bro tell my dad i said hi we all will meet again

    Marla I am so sorry to hear this I just loved Ricky this breaks my heart I’m praying for you and the family right now I just saw him not long ago and told him I was about done with school and reminded him he told me he was going to be my first patient. He was a great man for sure I always loved when u and him came in I’m so sorry to hear this
