Ricky L. Grant, age 58, of 422 North 5th, died on Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on April 9, 1957 in Quincy, the son of Donal Grant and Janet (Lummer) Plowman.

Ricky was a United States Army paratrooper from 1977-1980, stationed primarily in Germany. He was a truck driver for Bleigh Ready Mix. Ricky enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Plowman (Charles Jones) and siblings: Donald (Nancy) Grant of Quincy, Terry (Melvin) Godman of Quincy, Penny Maggart (Danny Daugherty) of Mendon, and Carla Plowman of Quincy, Jennifer Grant of Texas; nieces and nephews: Michael (Jennifer) Goehl, Brian (Kimberlea) Goehl, David (Amanda) Maggart, Keith (Jessica Anderson) Maggart all of Quincy, Stephanie (Justin) McKinney of Ursa, Tara (Steven) Goodwin of Paloma, Jennifer Grant and Jason Grant both of Quincy and special friend, Nadine Arthalony.

Many great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Donal Grant, maternal grandparents, Eva and Arthur Lummer and his paternal grandparents, Amos and Haddie Grant.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00P.M. in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
