Rickie R. Patterson

Rickie R. Patterson, age 25, of 2307 Payson Ave, died on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in her home. She was born on July 23, 1985 in Quincy the daughter of Ricky Patterson and Anita (Clayton) Patterson. Rickie worked as a CNA in the Quincy Area until she retired due to ill health. She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High and was of the Christian Faith.

Rickie loved music, the “Twilight” series, reading, and writing. Her favorite times were spent with her little boy, Jace.

In addition to her son, Jace, Rickie is also survived by:
Her MOTHER: Anita Edwards and her husband Lee of Quincy
Her FATHER: Ricky Patterson also of Quincy
GRANDPARENTS: Barbara J. Morse and her husband Michael; Bill Patterson and Sally Patterson
GREAT-GRANDFATHER: Norris Otten
TWO BROTHERS: Jeffrey Goehl II and Coby Patterson
STEP-SISTER: Shannon Edwards
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Roger Clayton, a great-grandmother: Dorothy Otten along with several other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Josh Finklea. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Family for Rickie’s son, Jace.

    Ricky, I’m sorry to read about Ricki, we had alot of fun working at the Tower together, she was so sweet, and full of life. thinking of you and all your family.

    Very sorry for your loss. Rickie was a very nice person she always talked to you and just was wonderful. I some times wonder why the good always die young. Maybe because it is just that they are to good to have to suffer life on this earth at these times. She will be missed.

    Although I didn’t know Rickie personally, having talked about her a lot with her father, Ricky, it was like I did. I knew she had many health problems, but she seemed to fight them at every turn. She was truly blessed to be able to give birth to her son, Jace and spend as much time as she had left with him. My heart goes out to little Jace, and the rest of her family. God Bless you all…

    We are so very sorry for the loss of rickie. She was a wonderful person all the way around and had a heart of gold, she will be missed dearly. This isnt goodbye its see you later because you guys will all be together again in heaven one day.

    You were a light that was never diminished by your illness and fighting spirit. Your life was an inspiration to everyone who knew you. Your sweet little boy will always know what a wonderful person and mother you were. We will all miss you greatly.
