Rickie A. Myers
Rickie A. Myers age 71, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Quincy at his home.
Rickie was born September 1, 1952, in Brookfield, MO, a son of Greg and Wanda (Sutton) Myers.
Rickie married Karen Sue Hull on August 1, 1989, and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2020.
Rickie had worked as a handyman and driver, prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Rickie was a good cook and made the best fried chicken. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his grandchildren, playing on his computer and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Josh (Buffy) Myers and Jesse (Rachel) Myers; Rachelle Beers and Richard Myers.
Grandchildren: Amy, Michael, Valen, Harley, Brooklyn, Jaxon, Haley, Arley, Aspen, and Dakota.
Siblings, Rhonda Owens, Robert Myers, and Angel Myers. Nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a granddaughter, Cheyenne Myers, a sister Regina Myers, and a brother, Richard Myers.
No formal services are planned at this time, cremation rites will be accorded.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Rickie’s life on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the VFW Post located at 600 Payson in Quincy, IL.
I have delivered a meal to Ricky every Tuesday for many years. He was always pleasant and appreciative. I will miss stopping by his home each week. My sympathies to all his family.
Rickie will be missed, as my husband and I delivered meals to him on Mon and Fri for many years. He was always friendly and kind. We offer our sincere sympathy to his family. May you find comfort and peace in the days ahead.
