Richard K. Kramer

Richard K. Kramer, age 87, of Durham, MO, formerly of Quincy, died on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in his home. He was born on May 22, 1934 in Quincy, IL the son of Eugene Leonard and Nettie Susan (Hipkins) Kramer, Sr. He married the love of his life, Norma ‘Nancy’ Taylor on June 12, 1954. She preceded him in death in 2012.

Mr. Kramer worked for Gardner Denver for nearly 45 years. He loved trap shooting, fishing, hunting, camping and living in the country. He was a wonderful and loving family man. He was of the Catholic Faith. Richard was a member of the South Side Boat Club, the Quincy Gun Club, the Mississippi Valley Hunters and Fishermen’s Association, and the Machinist Lodge 822.

He is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Vicky Rumsey (Jerry Hoelscher), Teresa Gorder (Don Gorder), Bobette Frese (Clint Frese) Tena Hodges (Companion Scott Moran) and Ricky Kramer.
BROTHER: Eugene Kramer (Peggy)
SISTER-IN-LAW: Marilyn Taylor
64 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, Richard was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mark Hodges Sr.; his great grandson, Brody Griffith; and one great great granddaughter, Ava Rain Courtois.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Northeast Missouri Hospice or to the Knights of Columbus TV Mass for Shut Ins.
