Richard James Walker, Sr.

Richard J. Walker, age 47, of 2830 Hampshire, died on Monday, June 29, 2015 in his home. He was born on December 14, 1967 in Quincy, IL, the son of William C. and Nina (Burk) Walker. He married Tina Pickett on February 8, 1993 in Quincy.

Richard was a pressman for the Quincy Herald-Whig for thirty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all of nature. Richard loved being with his family enjoying nature.

He is survived by his wife: one son, Richard James Walker, Jr., two daughters, Karri Walker and Bethani Walker both of Quincy; two brothers, William R. Walker of Quincy and Michael (Sandra) Walker of Plainville; two grandchildren, Jace Walker and Tyson Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.
