Richard Frank Hermann
Richard Frank Hermann, age 91, of 1500 Hamann Lane, Quincy, died on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1918 in Quincy, the son of Carl & Clara (Rossmiller) Hermann. He married Ellen Costigan on September 21, 1946 in St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.
Richard was a Union Carpenter retiring in 1982. He attended St. Mary’s School & Quincy Senior High. Richard served in the Army during WWII, serving in Alaska, France, Philippines & Germany.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Mr. Hermann was a member of the Eagles. He was a past member of Breakfast Kiwanis Club and the former St. John’s Catholic Church Over the Hill Gang.

A SON: Steve Hermann and his wife Regina of Webster Grove, MO and
FOUR DAUGHTERS: Janet McKnight of Lee’s Summit, MO; Mary Ann Millican of Seattle, WA; Chris Churchwell and her husband Steve of McAlester, OK; Kathy Rand and her husband William of Lee’s Summit, MO.
11 GRANDCHILDREN: Erin & Ryan McKnight, Liz & Kate Hermann, Zach Millican, Laura Millican Hollingsworth, Brian & Jessica Churchwell, Lynn Trainor, Isabell and Augustus Rand.
3 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Zach Hermann, Jurrien Hollingsworth and Evelyn Millican.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Paul Hermann, a sister Dorothy Tegeler, and a son-in-law Robert McKnight.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. James Wheeler, O.F.M.. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Grade School or to Quincy Notre Dame High School.
