Richard “Bubby” L. Boernson, age 61, of Quincy, IL, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1958 in Quincy, the son of Richard & Wanda (Friday) Boernson. Richard worked at Frese Iron and Metal for many years. He also worked maintenance at Hultz Mobile Home Park.

He is survived by:
HIS SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Elaine Selsor of Quincy
ONE SON: Zach Boernson of Hamilton, IL
ONE STEP-DAUGHTER: Kathy Roland of Quincy
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Peyton, Chloe, and Izabella Boernson; Paige Altgilbers and Breanna Altgilbers.
TWO SIBLINGS: Kathy Russell (Sonny) and Jeff Boernson (Shell).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Kyle Altgilbers, and two sisters: Connie Boernson and Bonnie Boernson.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 14 ,2020 at 1:30 PM in South Side Cemetery in Clayton, IL. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
