Rhonda J. Griggs

Rhonda J. Griggs, age 62, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on May 24, 1959 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Ted & Doris (Nall) Dede. She married William Charles ‘Rick’ Griggs on June 2, 1979. He survives.

Rhonda worked as a dental assistant first for the Quincy Dental Clinic and then later for the Adams County Health Department. Most recently she worked at Lantz Tax Accounting, retiring in 2019.

Rhonda greatly loved the outdoors – boating on the Mississippi, traveling and camping. She also like to sing Karaoke. Her greatest enjoyment though was the time spent with family.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
HER PARENTS: Ted & Doris Dede of Quincy
CHILDREN: Chris Griggs (Beth), Amanda Daggett (Jacob) and Brandon Griggs (Ashley) all of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Landon Griggs, Hunter Daggett and William Griggs.
SIBLINGS: Thomas Dede (Jean), Deidre Rosenberger (Scott) and Devon ‘Tony’ Dede (Carrie).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Rhonda was preceded in death by a sister: Daryl Dede and a sister-in-law Traci Dede.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Chaddock Children’s Foundation.

    So sorry to hear of Rhonda’s passing.I have great high school memories of Rhonda and then we reconnected when our kids were in boy scouts together. Our family has been blessed to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers to all that loved her.
