Regina Rucker

Regina Rucker, age 79, of 834 South 18th, died on December 16, 2015 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on November 22, 1936 in Quincy the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Salrin) Wegs. She was a graduate of St. Mary Academy in Mt. Sterling, IL. Regina worked for Williams Shooters Supply for more than 40 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Regina enjoyed shooting trap, traveling and all the time she could spend with family and friends. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the Moose Auxiliary and the NRA.

She is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Rebecca Proske and her husband Rick of Quincy and Steven Wegs and his wife Lori.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Rebecca Gosnell and her husband Derek; Nicholas Proske and Jesse Wegs
SIX GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Daustin, Noah, and Adi Gosnell; Michael Proske, and Emerson Wegs and Jaxon Barry.
ONE BROTHER: James Wegs and his wife Pamela
SISTER-IN-LAW: Jill Wegs
BROTHER-IN-LAW: Lyle Dunn.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be on Tuesday at 1:00PM at the Mount Sterling Catholic Cemetery in Mount Sterling, IL. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the North Side Boat Club Junior Trap League.

    I loved this woman so much. I feel my life was better for knowing Miss Jeannie!!! She will be missed by so many.

    I’m so sorry for your loss. I personally have known the loss of a mother and grandmother, and the pain can seem overwhelming. I found comfort in Acts 24:15, where it says: “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” We will see our loved ones again!     This amazing woman was like a mother to me. She will be greatly missed.
