Rayshone “Boss” Humphrey, Jr.

Rayshone “Boss” Humphrey, Jr., age 12, of Quincy, died on Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was born on July 3, 2002 in Quincy the son of Tynisa Nebe and Rayshone Humphrey, Sr.

“Boss” was a 7th grade student at the Quincy Junior High School. He was a member of Grandview Church. “Boss’ was a leader amongst his peers. He liked track and football. He loved electronics, technology, making music and to rap.

He is survived by:

HIS MATERNAL GRANDFATHER: Michael McBride and his wife Judy
HIS PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS: Audra Humphrey Portis and her husband San Antonio, and Antoine Hickman
HIS MATERNAL GREAT-GRANDMOTHERS: Wanda Sue McBride and Norma DeWitt
HIS PATERNAL GREAT GRANDFATHER: Calvin Hickman
HIS PATERNAL GREAT GRANDMOTHER: Rosemary Crider
HIS PATERNAL GREAT-GREAT GRANDMOTHER: Ruth Crider
HIS PATERNAL STEP-GRANDFATHER: Jeff Williams
EIGHT SIBLINGS: Carl Douglas, III; Nautica Humphrey, Aaliyah Humphrey; Rae Humphrey, Tymar Elayyan; Kobe Humphrey, Sarae Humphrey, Naryha Goodwin.
ONE NEPHEW: Carl Douglas IV
AUNTS & UNCLES: Guilford Hawkins and his wife Mireya; Lindsey Nebe and her significant other Dustin Humphrey; Charlie Hazelrigg and his wife Joni; Mathew Hazelrigg and his wife Maggie; Michelle Riley; Michael McBride, Jr.; Steven McBride; Shandall Hickman; Dale Hickman and his wife Nikki; Antoinette Hicks and her husband Timothy; Cherelle Fiefer and her husband Fred; Latoya Williams and Isaac Hickman.
Great aunts, great-uncles, cousins and numerous other relatives including: Tiria Humphrey, Guilford Wayne Hawkins IV; Leshelle McBride, and Anesa Hickman. Leeyah Humphrey, Xander Humphrey also survive along with a host of family friends.
He was preceded in death by HIS MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER: Pamela Hawkins; MATERNAL GREAT-GRANDFATHERS Nathaniel McBride; Richard Nebe; PATERNAL GREAT-GRANDMOTHER: Peachy Perkins; PATERNAL GREAT-GRANDFATHER: Willard Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Grandview Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Quincy Junior High School. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
