Raymond S. Dietrich

Raymond S. Dietrich, age 82, of 1408 N. 1003 Road Lane, died on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in the Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on February 3, 1929 in Adams County, IL the son of Roman and Cora (Kamphaus) Dietrich. He married Evelyn Reckers on April 7, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She survives. Mr. Dietrich served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Dietrich worked at Electric Wheel, Firestone and then later for Titan Wheel. He was also a lifelong farmer.

In addition to his wife, Raymond is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Linda Windoffer and her husband Dave of Payson, IL, Dennis “Gus” Dietrich and his wife Jeanne of Quincy and Laurie Dietrich also of Quincy.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Anita Arnold and her husband Brock, Shelly Zengel and her husband Eric, Amber Wiemelt and her husband Nick, Heather Dietrich
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Zach & Zoey Arnold and Gena & Nathan Zengel.
ONE BROTHER: Robert Dietrich along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Lawrence and Edgar Dietrich and two sisters: Loretta Ehrhardt and Edna Blum.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 9:45 in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and a funeral mass at 10:30 in St. Anthony Catholic Church by Father Thomas Hagstrom. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:00. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
