Raymond F. Dingerson

Raymond F. Dingerson, age 73, of 562 E. 1325th Street, Payson, Illinois, died on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 9:32 p.m. in the Emergency Room at Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1936 in Payson, Illinois, a son of Carl and Margaret (Schnellbecker) Dingerson. He married Karel Dempsey on April 23, 1960 in St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy. She survives.

Raymond was a graduate of Payson Seymour High School. He was called into active duty by the United States Army National Guard from 1961-1962 during the Berlin Crisis. He was a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of Payson F.F.A. Alumni and he was a former member of the National Farmers Organization. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and he enjoyed attending high school sporting events.

In addition to his wife Karel, survivors include:
THREE DAUGHTERS: Jami Bayes and her husband Mike of Belvidere, IL, Lisa Quinn and her husband Joe of Payson, and Jill Reffett and her husband Chris of Quincy;
TWO BROTHERS;
FIVE SISTERS;
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Rachel Lowrance and her husband Rob of Belvidere, Kristina Bayes of Belvidere, Alexandria Quinn of Payson, and RayLee Grace Reffett of Quincy;
A great-grandson is due in May.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, a son Mark David Dingerson in infancy, a sister, and a brother.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Pastor Lee Reffett. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Division of Specialized Care for Children (D.S.C.C.) through the University of Illinois, Chicago.
