Raymond A. “Tony” Christ

Raymond A. “Tony” Christ, age 78, of Quincy, died on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in his home. He was born on April 13, 1940 in Quincy the son of Walter and Mabel (Leach) Christ. Tony married Mary E. Bastean on January 22, 1983 in Quincy. She survives.

Tony had worked for Literal and Swift Eckrich. He was the owner/operator of a tow truck and an avid welder. Tony especially loved fishing for catfish and racing stock cars at Quincy Raceways. He was a member of Twin Oaks.

In addition to his wife, Tony is also survived by: three children: Todd A. (Tracy) Bastean (Christ) of Ft. Knox, KY, Tony Ray Christ of Quincy and Tammy Lambert of Bowling Green, MO.
Five siblings: Terry (Diane) Christ, Donnie (Jackie) Christ, Zelda (Ted) Smith, Judy (Darrell) Slater and Helen Wells. Six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews survive. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Penny.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tina and a sister Jeanette Bartz and a brother William A. Christ.

Cremation rites are planned. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
