Randy William Thompson
Randy William Thompson, age 63, of Ursa, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on November 20, 1957 in Quincy, the son of George William and Margaret (Sparrow) Thompson.
Randy was a Senior Field Service Engineer, employed by Donaldson Co., Inc. from April 1, 1991 to February 9, 2018. He was a wine and food enthusiast, gadget guru and loved spending time with his four daughters, grandkids and family. He loved to travel and made many true friends around the world.
He is survived by his children: Jessi (Aldo)Vahle, Quincy, Emily (Chris) Thompson, Argyle, TX, Mercedes (Caleb) Sutter, Taylor, MO and Rachel Thompson, Minneapolis, MN; his siblings: Judy Francis (Dave), Linda Smith (David), Janice French, Ann Gibleon (Glenn), Dave Thompson (Vicki) and George Thompson (Penny); grandchildren: Kara (Blake) Vahle, Miles Sutter, Kaleb Vahle, Alexis Reeves, Riley Sutter; great grandchild: Levi James DeCamp.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, great grandson, River Joel James DeCamp and brother-in-law, Lewis French.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a “Celebration of Life” service planned at a future date.
Randy loved his grandchildren dearly. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in honor of his grandchildren may be sent to Emily Thompson, 627 Gibbons Rd S., Argyle, TX 76226.
My condolences to Randy’s family and friends. I was fortunate to be able to work with Randy and learned a lot from him. He will be missed by many.
