Randy E. Hammond, age 59, of 1101 Grand Ave., Beardstown, IL, formerly of rural Mendon, died on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in Rushville Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1956 in Quincy, a son of Henry LaVern & Ruby Janet (Hess) Hammond.

Randy loved the time spent at the workshop in Beardstown and as a farm hand on the family farm. He was an avid Elvis Presley fan.

He is survived by:
A BROTHER, Chester Scott Hammond of Quincy;
A SISTER, Rose Marie Sparks of Edina, MO;
AUNTS: Mary Broomhall of Kahoka, MO and Othelia Smith and her husband Jim of Joplin, MO; and
UNCLE: Dave Calhoun of Warsaw, IL.
Many cousins and other family members also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt Carol Calhoun and an uncle Larry Broomhall.

Private burial services will be held at a later date in Greenmount Cemetery.
