Randall “Randy” James Shade
Randall “Randy” James Shade, age 62, of Liberty, died on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in his home. Randy was born on February 24, 1959, in Leon, Iowa to James W. and Mary Jo (Schulte) Shade.
Randy was a 1977 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. He was self-employed as a mechanic for RJS Imports for many years. He loved working on old cars, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, telling stories, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Randy is survived by his two sons, Raleigh Shade (Kylene) of Collinsville, IL and Chase Shade (Jordan) of Quincy; two sisters, Karen James (Mark) of TX and Debbie Deiber (Bill) of Fulton, MO.; and three grandchildren, Zoey Shade, Hayden Shade and Arya Shade.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been accorded. The family will host a celebration of Randy’s life on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at the Mark Twain Cave Winery (217 Cave Hollow Rd., Hannibal, MO. 63401) with a memorial motorcycle ride to follow. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

Raleigh and Chase I was shocked to hear your father had passed. Like everyone else he was always so trust worthy when you guys worked on my vehicles. The stories were awesome along with all the reminiscing. You can be very proud of your father he was a hell of guy! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Randy was always there with a good story and often times a lesson to go with it. I will truly miss him. Raleigh and Chase, your dad was very proud of you guys. He might have been better saying it to others than he was to you but I think you know how much he loved you guys. He will be missed.
Transparency is a buss word your father never needed. He was ever upfront and candid a rare jewel of a man for sure. After many years and miles he is still spoken of at our gatherings with fondness and respect.
Randy and l were next door neighbors on Payson Ave.as young adults. He was always fun loving and we had a great time..a. he was wonderful friend. So sorry for your loss!

I got to know Randy when I work at QHS. He was a great Guy, fun loving. Always very polite. He will be missed by those who knew him. You have my sympathy.

I met Randy through my brother, who was great friends. Randy smile was like no other . A blessing to be around and to work on my car.

My condolences to the family. My neighbor BillT suggested I take my car to Randy many years ago. After one repair I was hooked. I really enjoyed Randy, his great personality, knowledge, and stories. I looked *forward* to a vehicle issue so I could hang out w Randy for a bit. He’ll be missed.
So very sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. He was always such a nice person. I remember what a great athlete he was in High school. He was very talented and an excellent mechanic. Prayers to all.

So sorry for the loss of Randy. Randy worked on my vehicles for years. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was a good guy and will be missed.
