Ralph William Nick, age 62, of 9088 Shelby County Road 174, Bethel, Missouri, formerly of 1737 County Road 123, died on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 9:33 PM in his home. He was born on January 21, 1946 in Quincy the son of Martin Ralph & Dorothy Elizabeth (Welte) Nick. Ralph married Janet W. Woods on June 23, 1963 in Quincy. She survives.

Ralph was a Stove Mounter Alliance worker for Comstock Castle Stove Company from 1964 until his retirement in 1985. He was of the Baptist Faith. Ralph enjoyed deer hunting, arrowhead hunting, yard work and playing cards with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Tammy Scronce and her fiance Benny Lucas of Monroe City, MO; Cheri Ryan of Scottsdale, AZ, Wendy Hawkins and her husband David of Greentop, MO; and Billy Nick and his wife Jennifer of Philadelphia, MO.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Tobi Nick; David Scronce; Charlina Nick, Steven Nick, James Dent, Justin Dent, Joe Hawkins and his wife Alicia; Krista Hawkins, Brennan and Natalie Nick.
3 Great-grandchildren
FOUR SISTERS: Ida Randall, Bonita Howell and her husband Dale; Chris Johnson and Joann Beaston along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronnie Nick and two grandchildren: Keri Nick and Chana Dent.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the memorial services. Memorials may be made to the Northeastern Missouri Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
