Paul J. Anastas, age 82, of Ewing, MO, died on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 5:38 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born on August 11, 1933 in Detroit, MI a son of Nicholas & Anna (Bordewick) Anastas.

Mr. Anastas retired from Bendex/Hunnewell where he was a mainframe computer operator.

Paul was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, St Patrick, MO; 3rd Degree, Ewing MO, and was past Grand Knight and past Faithful Navigator.

Paul was one of the members of the committee that helped with establishing the Ewing Community Park. In his free time he liked playing cards, especially Pitch.

Paul was a devoted brother and a lifelong caregiver for his sister Helen.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers John, Nicholas, Demosthenes & Frederick Anastas along with a sister, Helen Anna Anastas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 12:00 noon in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Quincy, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorials may be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
