Paul H. Shelton, Jr.

Paul H. Shelton, Jr., age 63, of 2200 South Sheridan, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 8:10 AM in his home. He was born on May 29, 1948 in Pittsfield, IL the son of Paul H. & Edna (Hanlin) Shelton, Sr. He married Michaelann Reardon on April 19, 1969 in St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon, IL. She survives. Mr. Shelton was a plant manager for SEM Minerals. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Paul enjoyed fishing and bowling but his greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Kimberly Scharnhorst and her husband Brad of Quincy; Greg Shelton and his wife Angela of Quincy, Brad Shelton and his wife Kristi of Payson, and Robert Shelton and his wife Steffanie of Quincy.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Jessica Scharnhorst, Alexandria Schanhorst, Gage Scharnhorst, Quinton Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Caitlin Shelton, Parker Shelton, Shelby Shelton, Emily Shelton and Owen Shelton.
ONE GREAT-GRANDSON: Dalton Scharnhorst
ONE BROTHER: Terry Shelton and his wife Patti of Jamestown, MO
TWO SISTERS: Paula Allensworth and her husband Rich of Tioga, IL and Kathy Crider and her husband Leroy of Lorraine, IL
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Richard Allensworth, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE .
