Pattie K. Cheney

Pattie K. Cheney, age 51, of 203 Chestnut St., Quincy, died on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 9:15 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on November 12, 1962 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Seldon “Dean” & Myrtle (Shuler) Cheney.

Pattie was of the Christian faith. She was the office manager for Lifetime Coating until the company closed. She most recently worked for Walmart.

In recent years Pattie enjoyed crafts, Bunco, and Bowling. She was always an avid lover of pets. She was a wonderful mother and never missed any of her family’s activities and she often coached her daughters’ sports. Her greatest goal in life was to have four children by the time she was 30, which she achieved. She enjoyed spending time on the weekend with her grandchildren. Pattie will always be known for having a huge heart and her willingness to help others.

FOUR DAUGHTERS, Deana Coleman Tatum and her husband Bryan, Alishia Harscher and her husband Brad, Melissa Boernson and Christina Boernson, all of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, Alexis Tatum, Kenzie & Kendra Harscher, and Kolton Boernson
HER BEST FRIEND, Gloria Fulk
ONE BROTHER, Melvin Cheney and his wife Tina
THREE NEPHEWS, Kevin Cheney and his wife Krista, Brian Cheney and his wife Shannon and Darren Cheney
Numerous other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willard & Vera Shuler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

    Pattie and I were classmates from kindergarten to high school. We always went to the park by her house all the time and seen her out when we were younger. She will truly be missed by all. R.I.P. Pattie
