Patricia “Tuni” Jackson
Patricia “Tuni” Jackson, age 69, of the Sunset Home, formerly of 1127 Washington ST., Quincy, died on July 18, 2017 in Sunset Home. She was born on November 30, 1947 in Marblehead, IL the daughter of William & Helen (Rudsell) Smith. She married Jerry Jackson. He preceded her in death. Tuni worked for Motorola. She was a graduate of Payson Seymour High School, had an Associates Degree in Drafting from JWCC and also graduated from Gem City Beauty College. Tuni attended The Crossing and was a former long time member of Akers Chapel.
She is survived by:
ONE SON: Gary Thomas and his wife Erica of West Columbia, SC
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Gannon Thomas, Gavyn Thomas, Gracyn Thomas; Alec Asher-Mathes; Danay Mathes; and Dawson Mathes.
ONE GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Za-Riyah James.
THREE BROTHERS: Lonnie Smith and his wife Karen; Tommy Smith and his wife Judy; and Billy Keith Smith and his wife Debbie.
ONE SISTER: Janet Bringer.
In addition to her husband, Tuni was also preceded in death her parents, one son Eddie Lee Roy Thomas, three sisters and one brother.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Hill Inn and Suites, 1701 Oak Street, Canton, Missouri. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Tuning & I spent lot of time together when young. She was my maid of honor when Jim & I got married in 66. Her family was very nice. RIP Tuni
