Patricia “Pat” A. Leach

Patricia “Pat” A. Leach, age 76, of 1415 South 8th Street, formerly of 1306 Spruce St. died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 5:55PM in her home. Pat was born November 22, 1933 in Quincy, a daughter of Frank and Agnes (Jansen) Shull. She married Kenneth “Dick” Leach on February 5, 1955 in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and he survives.
Pat was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School.

Pat was a longtime member of the former St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was currently a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She had been very active at St. Rose, and was a member of the Ladies Sodality, and The Happy Hookers Sewing Club for many years.

Pat had served as an Election Judge in many elections. She loved to read, take pictures and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children: Dick Leach and his wife Chele; Cindy Schmitt and husband Dave; Tom Leach and Donna; Edward Leach and wife Amy all of Quincy; Susan Hunt and husband Don of Frisco, TX; Sara Gribler and husband Kirk also of Quincy;
two sisters, Elaine Solenberger and Evelyn Duesterhaus; a brother, J.D. Shull all of Quincy;
15 grandchildren, Cory Leach, Beth Bozarth and husband Matt, and Katie Leach all of Quincy; Breanna Johnson and husband Josh and Brandon Schmitt all of Quincy; Erin Wilfong and husband Doug of Alton, IL, Nikki Slough and husband Bryce and Zach Leach all of Quincy; Heather O’Hearn and husband Steven, Nathen Leach and Dustin Leach all of Quincy; Dalton and Davin Hunt both of Frisco, TX; Alaina and Riley Gribler both of Quincy;
Eight Great-Grandchildren: Blake, Tyler and Ellie Bozarth; Benjamin Johnson; Emma and Hunter Slough; Max Wilfong and Savanah O’Hearn. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Jeremy Schmitt and a brother Edgar Shull.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church conducted by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
