Patricia J. Day, age 72, of 1217 South 28th, died on Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1943 in Quincy the daughter of Floyd and Loretta (Logsdon) Mollring. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She was formerly married to Jerry Day. Patricia worked as a Surgical Technician at the former St. Mary Hospital and then for Blessing Hospital for many years until her retirement. Patricia was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and played darts at the K of C. Patricia loved gardening, having both flower and vegetable gardens at her home. She was a member of the Rocky Point Club where she served on the Board. She organized the Valentine’s Day Dance, helped select bands for events and also helped in the kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Christopher Day.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in the Church of St. Peter. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or to the Church of St. Peter.
